Email notifications suddenly stopped working - solved!

Hi, I thought I would share this since I haven't seen this solution yet...

 

About a week and a half ago, my email notifications suddenly stopped coming in.  Prior to this I have had no problems with email notifications.  Push notifications were working fine, but i only use push on 2 of my 5 cameras so it was a bit anoying not to get my email notifications.  I was traveling at the time and did not have time to debug it until I got back.  I checked all my settings and the email notifications were set correctly.  I had tried to reboot the base station through the app, that did not work.  I tried logging out of the app and logging back in, that did not help.  I powered the base off and then powered back up, that did not help. 

 

Finally I go to the support online chat to see if someone can figure out what is wrong.  After I explained everything, the operator checked and found that my email had be been put on the blacklist.  I asked how does that happen and she said perhaps too many failed login attempts.  After she reset this, everything is back to normal.  Anyway, I find it strange that my email can be on the blacklist yet I can log into my account just fine, but hey, for anyone who has a problem with email notifications suddenly not working for no apparent reason, here is one more thing to try...
