Doesn't seem to record after certain hours

My camera does not always record things. For instance, it recorded my wife coming home, but not the daughter leaving 15mins later. This was during the day. It also doesn't seem to record things in the evening.
Why is this?
Is there something l've missed in settings?

maybe it is just the location setting and or sense level need to be adjusted
