I have four arlo pro cameras connected to a vmb4000 station.
The cameras no longer detect motion nor record anything.
If I go to the base/station settings and click to arm, the button (on the screen) lights up for a second then turns right off. Same thing if I click to put into disarm mode.
I've cleared the apps data, cache, etc.
Everything worked fine up until yesterday.

Likely you need to remove the cameras and base from your account, reset the base with a paper clip, and add everything back.
If you have Pro 3/Pro 4/Pro 5s cameras then do the hardware reset of the cameras while you are at it (holding down sync until the LED flashed amber - about 15 seconds). With Pro or Pro 2, remove and reinsert the battery.

Thanks for the reply!
The cameras are in an awkward location (and they are original pro versions... There's no battery to take out).. But they work in the app. If I open the app, I can livestream without issue. It seems like the base station isn't telling the cameras to notify or record on motion. Would resetting the base be enough?
And to make sure I understand, I remove the base from the app/account, physically hit the reset pin for 15 seconds, then re-add?

All Pro cameras have rechargable batteries that can be removed by opening the camera housing.
The original Arlo Wirefree camera is not a Pro, but has 4 CR123 batteries that can also be removed.

No. If you only reset the base, you will find that you cannot reinstall the cameras without taking them down (and removing them from your account).

Yes.
