IS there any way to retrieve recordings once you delete them?

Usually not once they are removed from the arlo cloud server.

For future reference you should download the cloud recordings you want kept to your mobile or pc.

If you have a base station that has backup USB device attached and activated you should be able to recover recordings from the USB device depending on the memory capacity.
