Batteries in Arlo pro won’t charge up

My batteries will not charge up. Model# on battery is a-1 batteries. After the first year they failed and I contacted arlo by chat they sent me a new charger but still does not work. Now I can’t seem to get to a chat site. Cameras will work if plugged in to charger with 110 power. Will they replace batteries with better?  Also I am interested in buying another system for my dad. He only needs 1 camera for monitoring house. Does arlo make a hard wire camera system as I’m not impressed with batterie operated.
