  1. Does the Arlo camera work with the netgear R9000 router and can it record to MyCloud hard drive attached to the router

Arlo wirefree, Arlo Pro and Arlo Pro 2 require the Arlo base station. It can simultaneously record to a USB attached drive (up to 2GB capacity) and can overwrite the oldest files once full. So unfortunately, to answer your question, no.
