My husband set up the cameras and added me as a friend, but I cannot turn the cameras on and off. I want to be able to turn off cameras when I am home so we are not using the battery, but mine only allows me to see video. How do we set it up so I can turn them on and off as well?
Thanks.

He has gone in and updated all the setting and I still cannot turn them on and off. I am wondering if I have to set it up as my own user and put in the serial numbers, etc. We are pretty technically savvy people and it just does not seem to be easily giving me access to have my access full like his. He has his geo settings hooked up and everything.

We are using iPhones, so perhaps that is the issue. Thanks, let me see if we can try just logging in on the PC and adding me rights from there. It seemed it would be simple that is why it was so weird! It sends me a message when he updates my profile, but when I look at my ap there is nothing new, so maybe it is the stupid AP. Thanks.

This does not mention that Friends can turn cameras on and off so perhaps that is the issue as well:
Friends who are granted access rights can do the following:
- Play and pause video footage
- Record video footage
- Mute the speaker
- Enter full-screen view
- View live footage
- Zoom and drag video footage
- Control brightness
- Access and change modes - IS CHANGE MODES TURN ON AND OFF?
- View motion detection statuses
- Manually record
- Take snapshots
- Favorite, share, download, and delete video footage

Yes... the FRIENDS can change modes... which is what you want...
the ON/OFF in SETTINGS is really for privacy...It ONLY allows the primary to control so when you do share, others aren't peeping when you don't want to share. ie bedroom, child's room at night , etc
