I just recently installed a new Arlo Pro camera system.  I know it activates by motion.  Does it by chance activate by sound as well?  If so, what is the necessary condition for the camera to begin recording, ie: decibel level, etc.  Thanks.

Yes the PRO does detect and record on sound.... the settings are in the MODE

You can choose Motion, Audio, or both to trigger the recording ...there are also sense levels that you adjust for response

Look up ADD a MODE in the FAQs

I checked out ADD a MODE and reviewed my sound settings.  They are set to max volume.  Is there a way to tell what decibel level is required for the camera to activate and record the sound?  I'm trying to capture excessively loud motorcyclists passing my house.  Thanks.

I would set to loudest and work my way down....

unknown as to Db readings... for that you would need a sound meter and test it with noise given, against the settings, at the camera

As a PS... you not going to get any plates or similar if that's what your needs are
