Should add (if it matters at all) this is Alberta at my end . . .

Things fine at at home and mobile and now despite reboot of base endless 'getting status' and no connection at all possible to base or cameras.  And ultimately 'the camera failed to connect.  Try again.'  At one point a short while ago, had connection with base long enough to see status (good) but no dice on viewing cams.

strong, clear signals in all the cams, fresh batts in all.

this inconsistent behaviour is quickly bringing me back around to getting a more mature, reliable system.  Yeah, great when it works, but I can't honestly say I've had more than a few consecutive days of uneventful (read: no issues)performance over the last 6 months or so.

Well . . . . another few button presses (power on base then cameras) and I have a system that has now been operational for about 10 minutes . . . .

I couldn't begin to count the number of times resolution of a lack of connection comes down to having to physically press buttons i.e. have to be 'there' in person to remedy the security system.

Patience at an all new low with this.  Once again, I'll see how things go over the next short while.  But with increased periods of being away and relying upon a security system more than the immediate past, I need something reliable. If anyone has any suggestions - even other systems, I'm all ears . . .
