I am considering getting two Arlo devices, one for the front and one for the back of my house. I am pretty sure I want the pro as I want the audio capability. My first question is, do I need the base station? I am not sure what it would offer me except for the siren. And 2, how does the siren work? Does the base station send the audio to the camera or does the actual base station sound an alarm? I would keep the base station in the house and the cameras outside.
Thanks!
Pat

Any of the wireless cameras require a base station to access the Internet. The difference is that the Pro bases have the siren built-in. The siren only sounds there - it's not transmitted to the cameras.
