Looks like Arlo has found another way to inconvenience owners of older cameras.  By pushing their app update to my phone and tablet without my consent they have now rendered my Arlo Pro cameras and base station undetectable by the new app.  Only way I can log in is by my laptop.  It also has triggered my Pro2 cameras to trigger continuously with animals and fire detections and drains the batteries. Everything has been working great since they reversed their EOL policy a couple years ago and while the Pro2 base station is working I'm wondering what happens when the beta trial period ends?

    You should still have free 7-day storage.

    Note they only reversed the free 7-day cloud storage.  The cameras are still end-of-life, and over time could stop working.

    To clarify this - the app has supported both the "Library" and "Feed" interfaces for over two years now.  Which interface you get depends on how your account is configured in their cloud.  They are slowly migrating everyone to the "Feed" interface, no idea when that will be completed.  But it is clear that they won't support both interfaces forever.

    In any event, they could migrate you to "Feed" without pushing anything to your phone.

    Not sure why that happened.  You can turn off animal and fire detection in the smart detection settings.  But the camera just triggers on motion - it doesn't classify anything.  So turning off the smart detections won't improve your battery life.

    I suggest re-tuning your motion sensitivity (and audio sensitivity if you have that enabled), and see if that helps.

    Just to clarify this

    • you can log into the phone app
    • you see the cameras and base on using my.arlo.com on the PC, but not in the phone app?

    Is that correct?

    Are you using the same account credentials?

    Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

    Did you look for an app update?  (As I noted above, they didn't need to push an update to migrate you to "Feed").

    What phone model do you have, and what version of Android/iOS is it running?

I have two separate accounts one running a Pro Base and 3 cameras and the other a Pro2 base and 3 cameras.  I used to log in with my Samsung S22 running Android 14 to turn them off when I arrive as the geolocating was always spotty.  Opened app to find it had auto updated to new app and only one account was loaded, the Pro 2.  No way to add the Pro base station as you can't login with email address anymore and the app won't recognize the Pro base station.  Steady stream of alerts from my Pro 2 camera that drain the battery.  I can log in to both systems on my computer using my email address

Account credentials?  There is no way to enter them with the new app the only way now is to 'find' the base station by logging onto the same wifi with your phone and unfortunately the app won't find my Pro base station it says there is nothing there even though there is already a Pro2 base station that stayed connected through the upgrade.

The app on my Samsung S22 and Ipad both updated the same night and both stopped working with my Pro base station only the Pro2 works. Both base stations and all cameras are working fine when I log in with my laptop using my email addresses.  The app does not give you the option to log in with email account.

There is.

Press the profile icon in the upper left, and then select the top choice (your name).  You'll see "log out" on that screen.  Then you will see the login page.

Once you get into the other account, you will need to migrate it to "Feed' in order for the "friend" account feature to work.

Subbing to this thread, because I'm having the same issues -after update the pro cameras and base are showing as being "offline", with on/off slide button not working to turn on.

@dmike

What are the status LED displaying?

I see the base station is offline. Have you tried to pull the plug and reboot it?

@ShayneS

They were all 3 green, and after unplugging the unit for a minute, they went back to all 3 being green. So no change in the lights,

BUT now my cameras and base are online and working.  Thank you very much !!!!
