If a Arlo Pro is stolen, can I deactivate it so that no one could use it again? If removing the battery could trigger a reset, anyone could steal one and use it as brand new.

Yes, the cameras are not locked to any one base.
best is to try and keep them out of normal reach, use a screw on mount if possible....
You can make a non standard mount as needed as the threaded hole is a normal 1/4-20 pitch
Morse is faster than texting!

Given each camera has a serial number, couldn't Netgear deactivate the stolen camera? Or better yet, have the police trace the IP address to a physical address? Maybe I watch too many cop shows on TV 😛

Thank you for the feedback. The most vulnerable ones are mounted outside using the magnetic balls. I think Netgear should look into this. Each camera should be registered to one base and be deactivated by the owner if needed.
