You're using the Ethernet cable to connect your base to the router, right? It can't connect via WiFi.

Yes that’s right. The setup is with spectrum internet. I have a coax modem that connect to the wifi router via network cable, and on port 2 I have the arlo base connected but I can’t get it to connect or search for it the app just keeps spinning trying to look for the device.

Port 2 of the modem? Or port 2 of the wifi router?

Port 2 on the wifi router, the coax only has one that goes to the wifi router in order to connect.

What model hub? (Look for a VMBxxxx label).
What is the status of the LEDs?
Are you seeing the hub in your router's attached device list?

Have you looked at the router labels? Often there is a label giving you the admin password. Once you know that, you can access the router web ui.
I am guessing that you removed the base and cameras from your account. Is that correct? (fwiw, you didn't need to do that, all that was needed was to connect the base to a router LAN port with ethernet).

Spectrum doesn’t allow anymore to enter the configuration on the wifi routers. Only gives me a screen information of the device. This is the new wifi6. And this is a new install. Never added that arlo base. So I’m not sure what else to do. Either buy a router that send the signal 2.4g?

But its a very old system - did you purchase it used?
If so, then it is likely that the former owner neglected to remove it from his account.

No, not necessary. The base connects with ethernet, and the old cameras connect to a closed wifi network created by the base.
Have you tried adding the base from a PC (browsing to my.arlo.com)???
Also, if you use a VPN, then disable that during onboarding.

I'm thinking the previous owner failed to remove the equipment from their account. That would explain why you cannot add it to yours.

Thank you, I have email the owner if they can remove the device from their account. See if that works if not what else can I be done?

First, make sure that no VPN is in use. You can also try holding the reset button on the base until the LEDs flash amber. Let it reboot to green power and Internet LEDs (Camera should be off or solid amber) and try again.

I already tried that before getting here in the arlo community. I reset the device and still didn’t see anything to add to the application on the phone or the internet browser.

Eaqrlier you stated that you reset the base but all 3 LEDs are green. That means you didn't actually reset it. Turning power off and on does not reset the base while holding the reset button until the LEDs flash amber will. After the base reboots, power and Internet should be green and Camera should be off or solid amber.

Thank you, all. The issue has been resolved. The device was bought used and the owner failed to remove it from its app devices. So that’s why I couldn’t register or add to my app. Again, thank you all for the support.
