My wife and I log on to our cameras for each of our phones respectively. When she attempts to login, it logs me out, but the real problem is the authorization code comes to my phone not hers. How can I make this system connect for both of us?

You’re only allowed to have one device logged in an any account.

You should send your partner a friend invite to allow her to create her own account access and 2FA request: https://kb.arlo.com/000039122/How-do-I-add-friends-to-my-Arlo-account
