PROBLEM: Arlo Pro 6 motion detection doesn't work through window

I have an Arlo Pro 6th gen camera on my balcony, facing one of the entrances to the building. It's approximately 4 meters between the camera and the entrance. 

The motion detection is set to 100, but it doesn't detect when someone passes the entrance. The balcony has glass walls; could that be the problem? I couldn't imagine that would be a problem, and now I'm disappointed, having invested in an extra camera that doesn't do the job. 

Anyone else who have experienced that same issue, and is there a way to make it work through windows, glass?

Sorry, but that camera will not work thru glass ( as you found out )...

It's detection method uses IR which is blocked by the glass.

You need to mount it without going thru glass.

You would need a camera that uses Pixel detection ( sees changes in actual picture ) 

I'm unaware of any outdoor cameras with this method currently produced by Arlo.

Or maybe the camera need ac power as some may switch over to pixel detect ?

If the balcony is enclosed and has power, then the Essential Indoor cameras should work.
