I want the best camera that does not require a subscription. Which options do I have?

All currently sold cameras require a subscription for cloud storage.  If you get a VMB4540 or VMB5000 along with cameras that are compatible with those smarthubs, then you can use local storage for free.  The user experience isn't as good has having a subscription - if you need details, just ask.

But there are some other benefits to the subscription that might matter to you.  Access to Arlo support requires a subscription (or a camera under warranty).  Activity zones for cameras using battery power and privacy zones require a subscription.  So does the AI object detection.
