Is there a current issue with vehicle recognition not catching a recognized vehicle? I have all the settings correct. I have reinstalled the app. I have checked all settings, but since iOS 26 release it is not working.

I should also add the camera is seeing a vehicle and stating a vehicle is detected, but it is not allowing for the recognized vehicle feature to be used.

Does the behavior change if you turn off wifi on the phone?

No. It did not matter what I did yesterday from reinstall app, reconnect the cam, etc. I did notice the error message on the Arlo website previous persons discussed.
This morning it is working just fine. Glitch in the matrix or Arlo’s side?

I have saved vehicles that were identified successfully, though some were only labeled as "vehicle" This can occur occasionally due to angles or environmental conditions, as the AI labels based on its best determination of the image. Does this happen every time the saved vehicle is detected?
If you like, You can try removing the saved vehicle and re-add and continue to monitor. If you are not receiving any saved vehicle labels properly consistently I will have the team look in to this.

The cameras were recognizing a vehicle. However, the entire recognized and unrecognized vehicles section had no vehicles although previously established. The option was turned on. It is just like all the recognized vehicles were deleted or just not there and the feature was just not usable. So I could not click on a recognized vehicle image because they were not there.
The following morning I do not know what changed because all of the recognized vehicle files returned and it’s working fine now? At the moment, I am thinking there was just a “glitch” somewhere.

Ok so the past couple of days, vehicle recognition is certainly wonky. I have 5 recognized vehicles, named/identified. Each time the cameras detect a recognized vehicle, they all get recognized as 1 of the 5 recognized vehicles (a truck) no matter what vehicle is detected. 4 out of the 5 vehicles are not trucks, but each time the cameras detect sees a vehicle it recognizes it as the truck. Any ideas?

I should give some context w/the wonky vehicle recognition issue. All cameras are brand new Pro 5s 2k so there is no issue w/a dirty camera. The camera in question is no where near any other camera. The nearest camera is on the west side of the home. The camera in question is mounted directly above the garage with an unobstructed view of any vehicle approaching the garage.

The objects are analyzed on the backend not the camera itself. If you don't mind, can you try deleting the images for that vehicle and re-saving them when they appear in unrecognized? It's possible one of the images got saved and mixed into your saved recognized image for that vehicle.

We will see what happens. I completely removed all recognized vehicles and associated images. I will keep you all posted.

Veh Rec still does the same. Shows all vehicles as a black truck. Colors of vehicles are blue, black and white. I can see black/blue getting mixed, but one is a car, the other is a truck and much larger. Picking up a white suv and showing it is a black truck does not jive.
Other thoughts?

I should also note, the images captured by the camera are clear enough to read the license plates on the vehicles with little to no zoom.

Got it, so after removing the vehicle from the recognized vehicle list and re-saving/naming it, it's still misrepresenting the image but with the proper name?

All recognized vehicles were removed. Started with a blank slate.
The camera is recognizing a vehicle, but the vehicle it is naming any Recognized vehicle is always black truck. If I pull up in my white suv, the camera detects a vehicle but names it black truck. It does not see a white suv. It does the same thing to the blue Mazda detecting a vehicle, but showing it as black truck. It does not show the proper name for the vehicle at all.

Why is the vehicle recognition labeling vehicles in the wrong category , it’s just labeling with anything that’s in my list which isn’t the correct category. Is there another bug in the app that isn’t letting it work properly anymore. It use work correctly not now? Any suggestions
