I have 1 out of 8 Arlo Pro 5 cameras that keeps recording audio clips every few minutes when all audio alerts are turned off. I cannot get it to quit on this 1 camera. Tried turning it off several times for extended times.

Can you make sure you follow these steps to make sure the audio is off.

If you turned on audio alerts (Smoke/CO Alarm or All Other Audio) in Arlo Smart Notifications, you can’t turn off the Detects Audio setting when creating a mode for your Arlo device.

The Detects Audio setting must be on when any audio alerts are turned on to ensure that your Arlo camera wakes up when there is a sound, such as an active alarm.

To turn off the Detects Audio setting:

  1. Launch the Arlo app or log in to your Arlo account at my.arlo.com.
  2. Tap or click Settings > Smart Notifications.
  3. Select the device for which you want to turn off Detects Audio.
  4. In the Audio Alerts section, deselect Smoke/CO Alarm and All Other Audio settings.
  5. Return to Settings.
  6. Tap or click Smart Notifications, and deselect Detects Audio.

My Arlo Pro 5S cameras do not consistently record videos.  When videos are recorded the system inconsistently produces alerts to my phone.  Several of my cameras have produced hundreds of videos in a matter of hours due to the wind blowing or a tree rustling.  There are too many bugs in the system to keep track of.  So far Arlo's solution is to send me new Pro 5s cameras which will have the same issues.  It appears that I have made a mistake replacing the Arlo Pro 2 cameras that were EOL.  I did not have these issues and now my home is unprotected.

It looks like you are already working with the escalation team regarding the behavior you are seeing. I do see they reached out to you yesterday regarding your new Pro 5 that were onboarded. There is no further steps or information that I can give that the escalation team has not already told you.

Settings > Smart Notifications is not on Arlo app or  Arlo account at my.arlo.com

Smart Notifications is not on app or account.
Can you get more specific. My cameras are constantly recording wind. I put audio down to low. I need it to go on if a human is talking, a gun shooting, an animal barking/crying/yelling/meowing/growling/etc.

Then you want audio detection on.  So there is no point to going into the smart notifications and turning audio detection off.

All you can do is in the app (or my.arlo.com) is reduce the audio sensistivity in the camera settings.   Select the camera from the devices screen, then the settings wheel.  Go in to Default Mode Settings (not audio settings).  But if the wind itself (as opposed to the sound it makes) is actually reaching the mic, this will not help.  And of course the lower the setting, the less likely you are to get the notifications you want.

I guess you could try jury-rigging a wind screen for the cameras.  The mic is in between the spotlight and the lens, so it would have to be something small.  Maybe a bit of clear tape???

You need to select the location (generally "Home") after choosing "settings" and then Smart Detection.

In the app, you start by pressing the profile icon in the top left.
