I am enjoying these cameras but I think the switch from 5ghz to 2.4ghz is flawed. I have a camera that works sometimes and I know it’s due to the distance but it never switches to the 2.4ghz band which would allow for greater distance. I have and Orbi setup do my SSID is shared and there is no way to force 2.4 on this camera.

Eyball,
How far away from the router is the camera? What kind of issues are you experiencing (is the camera dropping offline, unable to live stream, etc.)?
If you bring the camera closer to the router temporarily as a test, does that alleviate the issues?

Only one camera it’s the furthest away and it’s fine if it’s closer but it never drops down to 2.4 band at least according to Orbi. It seams to be live stream that’s the issue but my question is really about if not switching from 5ghz to 2.4 when it needs greater range.

Have you tried connecting your phone to the Orbi Wifi at the same location? Then check the attached device list, and see what band the phone is using. Probably best to toggle your phone wifi off/on at the location if you try this.
FWIW, I wish Arlo let you disable one of the two bands from the app. It would make some issues much easier to solve.

Good idea! I just tried and my iPhone did connect at 2.4 it did drop out as well for a see seconds but I was behind a tree and the camera is not. I agree they should let you disable certain bands. If for nothing else it would help troubleshoot location. Any idea how you can find out the MAC address of a camera?

If you only have one Pro 5, then maybe start with the Orbi attached device list. It shows up as a VMC4060 on my Orbi.
Not sure, but it might also be on the label inside the camera (you need to remove the battery).
It would be nice if the IP address (and ideally the mac address) were shown in the camera settings.

Agree 100%. Lots of stuff I would like to see. Hopefully Arlo listens and some of these things will show up in future updates.

Eyball,
I'm working with the development team to better understand the issue you are experiencing. Are you able to provide the serial number for the camera that is experiencing this issue?

ADY1297AD07A1 is what the app says the serial number is. Sometimes it connects sometimes it does not.
