Is there an option activating motion detection for individual cameras?

Hello,

yesterday I recieved my Pro 5 cam (have a system running with several Arlo 4 Pro).

When installing the pro 5, my "System" was updated.

I can not active or arm single cameras any more, only have the option to configure 3 modes (At Home, away and standy).

Is there really no option to arm/disarm individual cameras?

Androis App sends me a notivication every time the mode is changed. As this notification is send via the gerner channel, i can not turn them off in android settings, while motion notifications stay switched on. Right?

Last not least. I used IFTTT to arm individual cameras, triggerd by my home automation system.

Actually, I can only set the Mode Away and standy via IFTTT. there is no option to set "at home" or to arm/disarm individual cameras. How can I get this feature back?

Looks like the "new system" brings a lot of disadvantages and as it was thrown on marked, before the software developers finished their coding tasks.......

Is there an option to go back to the "old system" and have all these features back?

Sure there is - in each mode you configure rules for the various cameras as before. Any camera without a rule is Disarmed. Standby can be used for various purposes but by default there are no rules in there so it's the same thing as Disarmed.

Yeah, the mode change notifications don't have a switch so they will occur like other notifications.

No comment on IFTTT since I don't use it.

@jguerdat :

that was not my question. I understood that I can modify the these 3 modes.

My question was if I can temporarily arm/disarm a cam without changing the global mode...

Did not find an option to do so

Go into devices, and select the camera.  Then press the settings wheel.  At the top of the screen is a toggle to turn the camera on/off.

FWIW, I happen to go to the current mode and turn off motion detection in the camera rule. That doesn't remove the settings, it just disables detection and thus recordings. Either way, you have to remember to turn the camera back on.

@StephenB what you are describing is how to switch off a cam....not how to disarm (disable motion detection)

Yes, though that distinction only matters if you want to livestream the camera.  If it's off, you'd need to turn it on first.  If it's disarmed, you can just livestream it.

You can also use @jguerdat's method.

Just don't understand why this options are removed in the "new" app

There are several questionable choices in their new design.
