I have read many posts about cold weather failures.

Here is how I addressed the problem. First off remove batteries, and run on a/c magnetic cable. I was still getting offline failures. The final fix was simply  attach cameras to a digital timer that turns power off for a few minutes each day , forcing cameras to do a reboot. So far this has worked in weather well below zero

Are you doing this with the Pro 5s camera?  I am thinking you are using a different model camera.

There is another discussion thread, where two users say the Pro 5s will NOT run without the battery.

Yes sir I have three pro5 s without a base. They all failed in the cold they are now working with the coldest morning. Being well below zero. And yes no batteries installed

One more thing regarding my cold weather operation. I had purchased magnetic charging cables that were not Arlo brand..they did not work well. Spend the extra and buy the Arlo cables.

And to reiterate pro5 s 2k work reliably without batteries installed. Thanks
