I recently just purchased 2 of the Pro 5S K camera's.   They will detect, notify and record most of the time, but for example (this morning), my son and husband left at 5:20 EST and 6:00 EST this morning.  Both cameras did not detect either of them (persons or vehicles) this morning.   I have not set any schedules or have not done anything.  They just do not detect or anything it seems during dark or that time frame.   Also, I do not have a base station/Smarthub  - what would the benefits be in having one.  I appreciate all of the advice.  Thank you!

Make sure that 1) motion is across the FOV and not to/from the camera and 2) the distance is less than 25 feet from the camera to the subject. You may need to reposition the cameras and/or increase motion sensitivity in your camera settings under Default Mode Settings.
