Hello,

I am experiencing an issue where my cameras are slowly drooping downward and I can't even get one of them to stay in the position that I need it to be in anymore. It just falls regardless of how tight the finger screw is turned. It's like the part that screws into the wall wears out and it will no longer work where I have had it set for the last year. I can get it to stay if I point it in a different direction but not where I need it to be pointing. These parts are all about one year old and I'm using the mounts that come with the camera.

Has anyone else here experienced this issue?

If so, what have you done to fix it?

I read somewhere that Arlo has better mount kits that click into place vs. using friction but I haven’t been able to find it.

I don't want to change these out with the same parts and have to go through this again next year.

Thank you, in advance, for your help with this very frustrating issue 😉

You could try a third-party mount.  The mount uses the standard screw size, so there are a lot of options.

Thank you StephenB. I appreciate your insight. I didn't realize that there is a standard screw size or that 3rd party mounts could be used with Arlo cameras. I'll have a look around.

Has anyone tried this mount?

FYI: For anybody experiencing Arlo Pro 5s mounts not supporting the camera in the exact same "sweet spot" after a year or so of use...

As a temporary fix - or maybe midterm fix depending on how I'll decide to fix this long term - I wrapped the male fitting (the piece that's affixed to the house) - in a bit of steel wool before connecting the camera piece and this added a lot more friction and stability as I tightened the finger screw.
