I want to record locally to the Micro SD card, but my SmartHub does not have a port for the card, as shown in the manual. It only has a USB port. My question is, can I use a flash drive to record?

The VMB5000 has the microSD slot, the VMB4540 has the USB port. I use both with no issues. You can verify which hub you have by looking at the bottom for a label that has VMBxxxx.
