Looking for ideas on how to get my cameras connected. First, I just want to say how much I ike Arlo products - a lot! I installed an Arlo keypad sensor system and it was really easy and I love the features of the keypad and the sensors. I've only installed a couple but have plans for many more if I can work out the camera issue. The design quality and build is really outstanding. As for the cameras it's been an interesting but also large pain. I first tried and nothing worked so I contacted customer service. Response was immediate and they were friendly and helpful. My scan revealed a slow ISP which I knew. So i upgraded to Superfast (800/20)using an Arris S33 cable modem to my already existing Asus RT-Ax3000. I upgraded the router to the latest firmware. Still didn't work so back to customer service and they worked through all the steps, confirmed that my internet speed was no longer an issue using the wifi scan and still nothing. I really like arlo and don't want to return everything to the store as I really don't have any second choice in mind so I spent quite a bit of time digging through community posts and the router and got to know it quite well. Asus has an article on older IOT and how to address issues there called [Wireless Router] How to improve compatibility of IoT device with ASUS WiFi 6(802.11 ax) router which mentions - 3-1. Turn off [Enable Smart Connect] and select the [Band] for your network devices. 3-2. Disable [802.11ax / WiFi 6 mode] 3-3. Disable [Wi-Fi Agile Multiband] 3-4. Disable [Target Wake Time] 3-5. Disable [Protected Management Frames] I'd seen a couple of these in a community post resolving problems but it didn't fix mine. As far as which band they are connecting to I can see the camera in the device list and it is connecting to 2.4 not 5. I've tried a lot of things - Turned off AIQ (for all attempts) Turned off Smartconnect so I see two separate wifi's Tried having the 2.4 and 5 with different names and with the same name Tried a guest account that was 2.4 only Tried having my iPhone on the guest account and giving arlo the auths for the 2.4 main wifi and vice versa Tried using my arlo on laptop with a wired connect Tried turning off the radio for the 5 band My bluetooth was off for most of this per the second contact with customer service, tho I found an arlo article that stated the opposite so I'll retry with it on today. I have no VPN on the router or the phone. I turned off private wi-fi address on the iPhone On the Router I do see the camera being added. It gets added to the device list very quickly into the process. It is always on the 2.4 band During the process the device list "jumps" Something is getting added and then removed fairly quickly I assume by the arlo process. I plan on powering down most of my devices today to see if I can spot what that is. The router logs show the same pattern over and over I see Auth successful, Assoc successful on a couple of mac addresses one of which is the camera but then I always get two entries : Disassoc (camera mac address), status: 0, reason: Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left) BSS (8), rssi:0 followed by successful auth and assoc events on the camera mac address After arlo app or myarlo reports that no cameras found but the camera is there on the device list on the 2.4 band Right now I am waiting for an Arlo Smarthub being delivered later today to see if that will work but I suspect this is something going on with Arlo cloud and my router and/or isp. My DNS is set to google. I suppose I could try cloud flare's 1.1.1.1 Any ideas much appreciated. Arlo has great engineering, great customer service, and is well manufactured, my only wish would be for a powered camera housing that is both heated for winter and ventilated for summer, but if I can't get those cameras online then everything is getting boxed up and going back to the store in a couple days.
