Activity Zone with arlo Pro 5S 2K camera connected to arlo Pro SmartHub VMB4540

Hi,

I have a arlo Pro 5S 2K camera with firmware 1.040.28.7_93_caa9491 connected to arlo Pro SmartHub VMB4540r4 with firmware 1.24.0.1_1528_8938370.

The arlo Pro 5S 2K camera is able to detect motion, record the video and save it to the arlo Pro SmartHub VMB4540r4 when I am not setting any Activity Zone to the camera.

However, after I setup the Activity Zone on the camera, it stop recording. No more video saved to the arlo Pro SmartHub VMB4540r4.

That's a bit odd but first do you have a subscription for the camera? Check Settings, Home, Subscription.

According to the KB, arlo Pro 5S can connect to continuous AC power to use Activity Zones even I am not subscribed to an Arlo Secure plan

@leung1007 - maybe try setting the activity zone to cover the entire field of view, and see if that also blocks all recording.

This is correct. If it is wired it will work without a subscription.
