You need a Qualcomm compatible charger to charge the battery that uses the higher voltage for charging.

Qualcomm quickcharge isn't used with the Pro 4 camera - only for the Pro, Pro 2, and Go cameras. Note the model numbers in the article below.
@warmus54: That said, I am still suspecting the generic charger or perhaps the cable (I have had a couple cables fail). Do you have other Pro 4s that you can test the charger+cable with?

Thanks for the response. The Pro 4 has been operating almost 2 years with a Qualicom quick charge charger. I did see that the only charger for the Pro 4 on the Arlo site has a hardwired charger/cable configuration. I don't have another Pro 4 that I can use to test the cable so I've ordered a new cable and charger. Will post results when I make the change.

That is confusing. The VMA5000C and the VMA5001C both are listed as "cables", but include the power adapter (e.g, the charger).

Sure, it will work. It just doesn't require quick charge (and I think will be drawing the usual 5 volts).
