I have recently purchased a Pro 4 Camera and Smart Hub (VMB4540). I am looking to get a USB HDD for local storage. Does the VMB4540 support a HDD with a powered USB, or does it need a separate power supply.

Some types of HDs are supported up to 2TB with external power ( IIRC  ) but don't know which.

 

But most have found it easier to just use a mem card/ speed stick of 64GB or larger.
