Hi Folks,

I’ve recently setup local storage - no Arlo subscription.

Was trying to figure out how to delete videos that are no longer wanted / needed.

Found a solution - reformatting my USB attached / external hard drive will remove all previously recorded videos.

Steps are as follows:

1. Start Arlo application

2. Go to Devices

3. Find my Smarthub / Base Station

4. Select Settings (little gear looking icon) on my Base Station (device I attached the USB external hard drive to)

5. Select Storage Settings

6. Select Storage Status

7. Scroll to bottom of screen

8. Select Format USB Device

This will remove ALL videos stored on the USB device and clear them from your corresponding Arlo Library.

Hope this helps someone.

I recall doing this accidentally when I had two USB memory sticks installed. I was able to recover the recordings again using a file recovery program on my pc.

Ms/Mr Kirkwood,

Thanks, I have been trying to figure that out and your suggested ploy worked.

Thanks.
