When using mobile internet, my Arlo base station videos do not sync in the app, and I am unable to see video clippings. Additionally, I do not have a subscription.

Does this happen when you are connected to your home wifi?

When remote, are you using a VPN?  Or are you using port forwarding?

Have you confirmed that the port is open?  Do this using a PC connected to your home network.  One of several tools you can use is this one:

Some internet service provider networks don't support inbound connections/port forwarding.

That is why I suggested that you double-check that the port is actually open - the tool I suggested will try to reach the port from the internet.  So if you didn't do that check, I recommend that you do it as a next step,

@StephenB Error: I could not see your service on XX.XX.XXX.XX on port (XXXXX)

What I need to do now?

Are you are saying that

  1. the port was properly forwarded in your router
  2. but it is not open when you use the port checking tool?

There are two common possibilities.

One only applies if your router is connected to a modem of some kind.  Many of those "modems" are actually gateways - routers+modems.  If that is your situation, then you need to add another forwarding rule in the gateway (to forward that port to the router address).

The second possibility is that your ISP is blocking the port.  That might be because they use a technology called CGNAT.  The only course of action here is to contact the ISP.  Sometimes they are willing to change the setup to allow ports to be forwarded.

Of course you could also get a subscription, so that port forwarding isn't needed.
