1)  what advantage is the smart hub over the base station?

2) Are the two outdoor mounts compatible with the Pro 4 cameras.  It is not listed in the dropdowns.

3)What is the difference between Live Streaming and Live Feed?  Manual is not clear.

4)  I have had the Arlo Pro with no subscription for years.  I just subscribed and now when I go into my

app there is a gold dot on the settings Icon.  what is that for?

The smarthubs offer direct access to local storage:

While many here do use that as an alternative to a paid subscription, it has a lot of limitations (and IMO offers a poor experience).  If you want more info on the caveats, just ask (or search the forum).

All Arlo cameras use standard screw threads - so the older mounts are compatible (as are third party mounts).

Live Streaming is just viewing the camera video live (instead of from a recording).

"Feed" vs. "Library" is more important.  Arlo is gradually switching to a completely new UI (user interface).  The current interface has "Library" on the menu, the newer one says "Feed".  Both are similar, but there are a lot of differences overall in the two UIs, so it is important for us to understand what UI people have when they are posting problems.

"Feed" still has a lot of bugs - hopefully Arlo will sort them out before migrating everyone to the new UI.

It is telling you that you need to review (or perhaps change) a setting.  Most often, it is an activity zone (either telling you that you should consider setting one up, or telling you that it has detected a new camera position and that the activity zone might need to be redone).

If you drill down into settings, you should see another dot on the next level done, or perhaps a message at the top of the setting screen.
