My trial has expired so I no longer get videos. I get that. If I connect a hub and a backup device, what will I get??? Will the pro 4 cameras activate video when attached to a hub with NO subscription???

Yes you can but it has several limitations such as no snap shot of the recording and you have to download to view in the app and can't be viewed on the Web Portal. And you need Port forwarding or VPN to view away from your network to name a few. As stated in this article you need a min of 16GB USB. I Just use it for back up with the limitations.
