Arlo wants to raise my cloud payments 100% from $14.11 to $28.22. When I try to contact them via chat or by phone I have found out their customer service does not exist. They keep sending me emails saying they cannot take their cloud payment from my bank account. If Arlo had real people instead of dam fricking robots maybe they would know by now that I had to get a new debit card to keep them out of my account. No one is going to raise my payments 100% without an explanation. Arlo's chat system is a joke! I don't want to speak with a dam robot, I want to chat with a real person, period! when I tried to contact customer service by phone it was the same thing, a dam robot that wanted to sell me Arlo equipment. The robot tried to sell me things 2 times and then hung up. From past experience, when I call any company's customer service it is because there is a problem I need help with, not because I want to buy anything. This company will never see another dime from me after treating me like they did. Furthermore, I will never recommend Arlo to anyone who is looking to purchase security cameras. Simply put, they are ripping people off big time. Please DO NOT give them your card numbers because they will not give you an explanation before they start taking more from your account than they are supposed to! Try to raise my bill 100%, not gonna flippin happen!!

UPDATE: This Company has gotten more ludicrous! I received a call from their customer support yesterday....after spending hours trying to contact them on 10-20-2024. The person who called me instantly wanted my e-mail address which I was hesitant to give to someone from Arlos' customer support. I finally gave this person my address after being told she could not talk to me without it. At the same time, I let this person know That I did not appreciate being hung up on by their chat robots and the dam robots that answer Arlos' support phone line and try to sell something instead of giving support. This story gets more sinister!! This female caller spoke broken English, and I was assuming she was actually in India..I COULD NOT BELIEVE what she said next;; She told me the call was being recorded for quality assurance! I laughed at her very loudly and stated that I was sure it was not for "quality assurance". She then stated that she had to have my permission to tape the phone call, so I asked if I could have her permission to tape her.. She answered very quickly, NO. She then went on what I will call a "no recording " rant. The Rant ended when she asked once again to tape me for quality assurance, I said NO and she said she could not help me If I did not allow the call to be recorded.. Ok, she called me and then made a demand to record the call. The demand did not work so her CALLING ME GOT US NO WHERE!..i WON'T PUT UP WITH A BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY TREATING ME LIKE THIS--PERIOD.i WILL SAY IT ONCE AGAIN ABOUT ARLOS' customer support, It is non-exsistant. If you don''''t believe what I have said-- give the chat support a try, and then try their support phone line.....all this started because I had one simple question, and that was "why are you raising my cloud payment from $14.11 to $28.22"? A 100% raise to the bill !!

The email address is also your user account, so it makes sense that she would need it to check your account status. No idea on why you are so annoyed about the "recording for quality purposes", as I've been hearing that for decades now in every customer service call I've placed.

After reviewing the case with support, it appears the support agent was trying to have another method of contact with you to assist with your inquiry. Would you like me to provide your email to the case and let the support team know that your email address is an approved method for communication?
