Why would I want to see a one day old image when I logon to Arlo Secure? I think all cameras should update immediately to current view.

The camera thumbnail picture is meant to represent the last picture taken by the camera.

the only way to see what is happening is to live view the camera using the play button when you tap the camera view.

 If you wanted to have all cameras display when you open the app you would need to wait 5sec for each camera to load which would add another 20sec to the app loading time for 4 cameras taking you about 45sec all up to use the app.

choosing to play a single camera live is quicker so you get it down to 30secs.
