I paid over $400 for Arlo cameras and had several chats on the website about what to get for my needs. After purchasing and installing I am now learning that I need an Arlo Hub to have certain features and/or an expensive subscription for basic things like talking to a human being about why I need a hub. I don't mind paying for things but I was not told about any of this during my multiple chats with CS on this website. I cannot even ask about it because I am not worthy of a real human being to talk to. "buy our service" "buy our service" etc. How do I get a hold of a real human so I can figure out what additional BS I need to buy to get the basic service that I thought I already had when I paid for these overpriced cameras?
I don't even know who is going to see this. My next step is to sell the Arlos and leave a bunch of reviews explaining my problems with the company. The product is fine, it's the company that I am having an issue with right now. Being upfront about services, costs and additional purchases is very important when I do business. This is shady....

Hi JamesC,
I have read the info on subscriptions plans, I'm mostly angry that no one mentioned that previously when I called Arlo multiple times. I also wanted to use HomeKit and no one told me that I needed or Hub or something for that to work. It is something that I did specifically ask for when initially ordering.
What do I need for my 2 Arlo Pro 4 cameras to be able to use Apple HomeKit please?
Thanks,
Austin

You need to connect them through a base or smarthub.

Note: Arlo doesn't support Homekit's Secure Video feature, so you will not be be able to see recorded videos via homekit.
