Does anyone know what this exclamation mark means? Also the camera does not record when motion is detected. Below is all I have done to try to resolve the issue:

1. Restart base station and camera

2. retry the whole installation

3. direct storage access is activated

Has the subscription expired?

As I understood it, you don’t need a subscription if you buy the base station? Maybe I’m wrong?

You still need a subscription for

  • cloud recording
  • activity zones
  • smart notifications.

If you have a smarthub (VMB4540 or VMB5000), you can add USB (or microSD) storage and then set up direct access to local storage.  Have you done that?

Have you clicked on the "!" to see what pops up?

This is what I see when going in to settings, everything is activated.

Also nothing happens when I try to press the exclamation mark.

What does "spela in video" mean? I tried Google translate and got "play in video" but that doesn't make sense in a camera rule (which is what I assume your first post's image showed).

What does your subscription status show in Settings, Subscription?

You're still using the old user interface (UI) which uses Library to view recordings while I am using the new UI that uses Feed for a long time. That means I can't look at my rules and see the same thing as you but the Arlo FAQ linked below suggests you're set up properly. I also suspect that the "!" simply means you don't have a subscription so there would be no cloud recordings. Regardless, you should be getting recordings via local storage on your hub - is that true?

Hi

I’m not getting any recordings at all. The hub is connected with a camera. The settings won’t allow me to change the rule to “record video when sensing motion”

it only allows “record sound”

Your previous images show that you have enabled motion detection and recording in your rule and audio detection is disabled. I don't understand where "the settings won’t allow me to change the rule to “record video when sensing motion”" is seen.

Also, your image of the local storage settings shows recordings happening since there are many megabytes being used on the drive according to "Available Storage".

We never asked what base or hub you're using. Look at the bottom for a label that shows VMBxxxx to be sure. If it's not a VMB4540 or 5000, you can't use the app to see local recordings. If you do have one of those, you should see a pull-down menu at the top of Library to choose your hub.
