Hello,

Trying to setup my new Pro 4 cameras and they absolutely will not connect to WiFi.  Confirmed that I have 2.4GHz and have followed all the steps to the letter multiple times.  Blue blinking light, scanned the QR and heard the chime.  Still get that damn red X.   Chatted with IT and we tried to reset one cam to no avail.

Any ideas??????

If you are using the app, then I suggest trying also with a PC (browsing to my.arlo.com).  Ideally connect the PC with ethernet.

Double-check that the wifi security is set to WPA (AES).  Some punctuation/special characters in the network name and password result in a failure to connect.  Unfortunately Arlo has never said which ones.  So remove those characters if you are using them.

I’m having exact same problem. I have followed everything perfectly and have heard the chime over a dozen times with no luck. I just posted my issue. Can you give me the phone number for support? I’d like to talk to a live person also.

I dont think they have a live support  - only the chat function.  At least I have not been able to find a number.

Attempted to use my laptop shortly after posting my original message.  Connected to the same network and confirmed that everything is correct.  Still could not connect.

They don't publish a number.  Phone support is accessed through the subscription area of the app - but unfortunately that requires a subscribed camera.  Which is a catch-22 if you can't onboard the camera in the first place.

@sparson , @Frustrated_Help I am tagging the mods ( @JamesC and @ShayneS ) to call their attention to your posts.  They might be able to create a support case on your behalf.

Thank you. I’ve been working all day and will re-try everything tonight. Appreciate the responses. I tried factory reset this morning. Blue light does not keep flashing so no success there yet.

Hello. I finally had success! I used my computer on 2G, close to router, did a factory reset, then had to hold the sync or reset button as the blue light would only flash once then stop. After trying this a few times tonight it finally connected. It was pure perseverance and I don’t think I could have tried much longer as my patience was running thin. Appreciate the support and hope you can get yours connected as well.

Glad to hear it!  I admire your patience because I have none.  I spent my entire yesterday evening frustrated, trying multiple times and ways without success.  So the cams were returned today and I bought from a competitor.  Support’s solution was to return them -done!

Happy again you were able to find success!

Hopefully your new cameras will work like a charm. Best of luck!
