If you are upgrading from an earlier version of Arlo camera's, you MUST install the new UI App. STEP one of installation should state both individuals have to be on the new UI platform. Took my wife and I a day and a half to figure this out. Trying to save you all the headaches we incurred. Todd

Agree with your suggestion regarding the user warnings, this should have been implemented along with the other numerous defects impacting the user experience last year when it was released.
