Which one do people use more?
I do not want to have to toggle between both if I am home or away.
They both detect motion outside so what is the real difference?
Is the Arlo Away more sensitive and uses more battery?
Thanks for your responses.

hmmm must say this is not a good question 😉, since there is nothing with all the modes (including ARM AWAY and ARM HOME) at the beginning --- they are all the same. You have to configure, yourself, as to how the cameras should behave in each of the modes --- say detect motion or not.
And then you have to configure, yourself, how/when to toggle between these now configured modes.
Regarding sensivity and power usage, it is NOT about the modes, but the cameras that are configured to be arming/recording, for each of the modes.
Does this answer your question?

It matters if you want to use both geofencing and scheduling. Then you only use Arm Away when you are away, and then schedule Arm Home and Standby.
All three modes can be modified, so you can also re-purpose them to do something different.
