Our Arlo Pro 4 Cameras are not recording events or motion detection to our library which is causing us issues. We have 3 cameras set up at our small business: 1 located for our front drive, 2 located in our back lot.  We have had no issues in the past but it seems that it began when we were notified we had to subscribe to one of the updated plans.

We must have recording for motion detection, especially after hours. We have used arlo at numerous locations for years (homes and land), but never had this issue.

Notes for what we have already done:

  • We are subscribed to Arlo Secure plan $12.99/month (Video recording and smart interactive communications for unlimited devices)
  • We have ensured that motion detection settings are toggled on and sensitivity is set high
  • Also ran motion detection test
  • We have Activity Zones set
  • We have powered devices on and off

Again, we have no recordings occurring on any of these cameras unless we "manually" open the camera and record. We need them recording movement like they used to so we have a library of activity on our property.

It would seem that you're using the old user interface (you seem to use Library to view videos). While it may not be necessary with enough button pushes, you may want to consider migrating to the new UI that uses Feed to view videos. It's a significant change and custom modes don't transfer so the 3 default modes must suffice.

Before that, however, disabling activity zones, toggling motion detection off and back on as well as rebooting the router may be useful.

Thank you. I mistyped (used to old terms), we do have the updated interface and it is feed view. We have updated all programs. There is no history of any recordings on any camera for our feed and I have filtered to confirm.

I will attempt to reboot again to see if it does anything.

Make sure you're rebooting the router unless you are using a hub.
