I purchased 4pcs of ARLO PRO 4 Cameras and the Pro 3 Floodlight and installed it using cloud subscription. They worked fine and in the Mode Tab I’m able to modify each camera individually, disarming the cams I choose and even scheduling others. Then I bought the VMB4540 Base Station for Local storage and had to remove and add the cameras back on. Now in my Mode tab I only see the Base Station and I could only Disarm/Arm it. Yes I can select and modify a mode but it won’t let me modify an individual camera for arm/disarm, schedule, etc. and Disarming will only disarm everything. What happened to my individual camera mode like when I had it before I added the hub? I could go on and on about other things but this is the biggest dilemma I have right now. Is this normal or did I do the install incorrectly? Modifying the modes does not help with what I want to accomplish. I just want it to be like how it was before I added the base station.

This is normal.  When you use a base, the mode controls the base (and everything connected to it).

And creating custom modes is the path you need to take.  You need to identify what combination of cameras you want enabled at any given time, and create a mode for that combination.  For instance, if you want all the outdoor cameras enabled at night, but not the indoor cameras, then you'd need to create a custom mode that only includes the outdoor cameras.  Then you can schedule those modes, or use geofencing (in addition to manually selecting them).

I agree that this can be cumbersome, but it's the only way.

Well that's inconvenient.  But at least i know it's normal and nothing I'm doing wrong.

Thank you.
