I noticed that I now can view 2K videos that have been recorded in my library through Google Chrome. It used to be the browser didn’t support the video codec and I needed to download to my desktop and then watch it though QuickTime. I wonder what changed? Did Arlo change the video codec or did Google Chrome make a change to allow this to happen?
I’m using the latest version of Chrome on my iMac.

Google added HEVC playback to Chrome last month.

To clarify - Chrome will play HEVC video if there is hardware support for that codec in the device.
