Not sure if there is  a strict limit to the number of cameras.  But it can support only 5 simultaneous recordings - so if you have more than 5 cameras connected, you could miss some recordings.

thanks! then it is clear to me. the smarthub can only record or play back 5 cameras at a time, but you can add more than 5 cameras to the smarthub
