has anyone figured out a solution for using the Arlo pro series in subzero temps? It seems you could come up with some kind of a greenhouse, shield, or heating device to keep the battery from failing. Is it possible to plug the camera into power during these very cold temps and still get them to work? The temperatures will be far below -5 Fahrenheit for several days and my cameras start to fail between +5 and -5.

If you’re able to run external charger power to the camera you can then remove the battery. The battery will not charge if below 0degC from memory but the camera electronics can go much lower.

A heated housing would be a very nice accessory (though it would of course require AC power).

Agree that some sort of insulation might improve the situation. However, since cold weather affects all types of electronics and each has a specified operating temperature, you'll have this issue with any battery powered equipment, even medical such as battery operated glucometers that stop working below a specific temperature threshold.
