Why do my new rechargeable cameras not work at -20 C degrees? Can this be rectified?

This is not an unusual temperature in Canada in the winter time.

It is chemistry and physics to prevent damage to electronic parts. They are rated down to -20C. Some here have wrapped them in insulation but not sure how well that works. They will work again when warmed up.

The specs define the operational range down to -20C. You may be able to use the camera if plugged into AC power. If you do that and still have issues, try removing the battery so it's only on AC power. The use of this power keeps the camera active and may provide enough internal heat to allow it to remain above ambient temps.
