Why do I have to download mp4 files on my PC Browser? I can't just click play. Chrome can play mp4 files, why can't the website?

Chrome and most other browsers can't play 2/4K videos. Apparently it's a licensing issue for the codec. Edge can do it if you have new enough video hardware (recent) as well as a download from the Microsoft store (I forget what it's called). The hardware is the big issue.
