USB format failed

my local usb storage was working fine. Now I have that annoying ad pop up in my library and when I go to the settings of the base station it says that usb needs formatting but keeps failing to format. How can I fix these issues

 I’m incredibly frustrated with these recurring issue and close to switching to another provider.

Have you tried formatting the drive using a computer? Note that if over 32GB you may have to use a 3rd party formatter. 

It may also just be a bad drive - try a different one.
