Dear Arlo-members,

 

I'd like to save all records on a local storage.

I already put a storage to the base unit. It's formatted and recognized by the system.

BUT if there are movements recorded, they are not stored on the local storage.

The Camera is definitely active while movements.

I guess I made all settings correct (attached some pictures).

Maybe some of you have similar cases and hopefully a solution for it.

Dear BrookeN,

 

unfortunately this troubleshooting did not solve the issue.

I really wonder that the set up is done correct. Even the storage symbol turns yellow when the camera is active, which means that it should store sth on the local device.

Please have a look to the settings. I really do not understand it.

What I was really wondering about is that when going to the feed I am just asked for an abo to have a look to videos from past 30 days. 

 

My son has the same system with the same local storage device with the same settings. With him it works perfect.

Is it just the one camera that will not save to local storage?

Can you do a live recording?

I can have a livestream, yes.

But there is nowhere a "record" button I can press.

Have you tried removing the camera from the account and adding it back on? As well as uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

I just use the web application on my notebook. So no need to reinstall the App.

 

But I removed the camera and the base station and added them back again to my system. Unfortunately the issue is still there.

Camera detects a move, and records, but it does not store it on the local device.

In the screenshots you can see the camera, which is recording (detection and local storage are highlighted orange, which means it should work, right?

But in the Feed there is no video visible. I am just asked if I want to subscribe for an abo. I cannot see the tabs "Cloud" and "Local" as it should be.

I am really lost and frustrated more and more 😕

 

Isn't there any possibility to receive a call by technical service?

Then select "Turn on private messages" if it is turned off.
