So time to have another rant about the Arlo product.
The only thing i have found any good about the arlo product, is the the cameras are wireless.
So here comes most of the negatives,
Can obtain recording remotely, I've been told I require a VPN account, which is another cost.
Can only look at recordings is when I'm at home on the same LAN account.
Never ending errors, now can't see any recordings, reset camera, hub & app on the phone, also unable to see recordings on the PC.
Technically I have found so far a bit of waste of money.

Thank Warren

I guess you mean w/o a subscription? You don't need a paid VPN account (from someone like Nord, etc).  In fact that won't work.

You can forward ports in your router (and if you are use Android, then that is what I'd recommend, as most people can't get the VPN on that device).

If you use iOS, you can also deploy a VPN in your home router if it has that feature - and is free.

At the moment there is an issue with accessing local recordings on Android - Arlo introduced a bug on that in their 3.5.1 release on 20 July.
