Outdoor use limited by temperature

I am sure others now have this problem due to the nationwide freezes. My outdoor camera suddenly stopped working and gave the message my battery needs charging while all the indoors charged at the same time show 69%. You can not charge them in freezing weather. Kind of makes the camera worthless in the winter. The only solution seems to be to remove the battery and run a long charging cable to the camera. This would have been nice to know before purchasing a camera for outdoor use. The catch 22 is that they may operate to -4 F, you can not charge them below 32 F. If they are too remote for a cable, you must remove the battery, bring inside to charge and replace. Not very convenient.

It stops charging below 32F to prevent damage to the battery.

Yep, aware of that. Just saying, not the best choice for an outdoor camera in cold climates.
